Thirsty? How about a nice, hot beer?
There’s a reason we don’t serve beer hot, and it isn’t just habit.
Pilsner Urquell should be stored and served at 5°—8° Celsius. Lagers like ours ferment at a lower temperature than ales and should be enjoyed that way too.
Beer that’s too cold numbs your tongue, so you won’t be as sensitive to flavours. And if you’ve ever had a sip of warm beer, you probably noticed how bitter it tasted. That’s because our taste buds perceive flavours more intensely in warm food and drinks.
When Pilsner Urquell is served at the right temperature, our golden lager is more flavourful and aromatic. You’ll taste the balanced sweetness and bitterness of Saaz hops and Moravian malt, just like Josef Groll intended!
